I love the innocent romance between 2 people who have been raised in the same faith, but experience rejection from their own families based on the skin color of their love interest. The concept lead me to question whether the believers in their families truly know and understand the love of God. How could they, when their actions oppose the Great Commission and fail to represent the reason for Christ's coming - to save the world (not the White world or the Black world). This is remarkable story, which sadly, is someone's reality.
