Initially I felt the film was slow. Unfocused. Jesse Plemons was superb. At once dangerous, then terribly sad. Emma Stone was a firecracker. She unwinds, then becomes also dangerous. Back story about Jesse Plemons Mom ( played by Alicia Silverstone) was hazy. Autistic actor who played Jesse’s cousin was remarkable. My husband and I were impressed and felt moved by this film.

I don’t agree with Dave on everything. But there isn’t one disagreement that would cause me to disparage him. He’s brilliant. An acute observer of culture. I will always watch him. Why? Because he’s brave, original.
