Long. Acting was good. Boring story.

I’m giving it 1 star for the acting and the the imagery. Other than that it’s a long, boring story with no real payoff at the end. I only kept watching ‘cause I hate not finishing movies. This movie 🙄

How the hell can the little girl be afraid of the evil entity that’s haunting her but she is ok with sleeping with creepy dolls that look exactly like the entity that’s haunting them. What The Hell!?!?

Someone said this is comparable to get out because of the theme and the subject matter. Well, it’s nothing close to get out. It’s not thought provoking. It’s not edgy. It doesn’t make you feel any emotions at all. It’s long and it’s boring. I stuck through the movie waiting for the any kind of big moment, waiting for a payoff that I didn’t get. The main character is the only reason to watch. It’s basically a lone African American feeling uncomfortable a round a group of Caucasian’s whom are oblivious to his discomfort. Don’t waste your time. That’s the whole movie

Didn’t see the one from 1990 so this was a new experience for me. I thought the movie was good, acting was great, and the story kept me intrigued. I enjoyed my hour and a half spent with this movie
