Typical Harlan Coben yarn. Some of the acting though. Oh my goodness. Seem to see this a lot with these types of series. Almost spoils the tale (my other half gave up half way through but I pressed on).

Josh Brolin and Julia Garner excellent. But the film……..utter rubbish. Two hours of my life I’ll never get back.

Boring film that is relying on the name. First two very good. This was a waste of 2 hours I’ll never get back!

Average. Not in the same league as the original. As for the alien like cgi monkeys and the sharks in the arena! They may well have staged sea battles in the coliseum, but sharks?! 🤦‍♀️ Clever marketing off the back of a classic. Worth a watch for the sake of nostalgia. But the original has nothing to fear.

Awful film and instantly forgettable. Started off ok and then descended into supernatural rubbish. I like Cage normally, but the prosthetics here made the the scenes look like a twisted comedy sketch. His acting is one redeeming feature, but honestly the plot line is so bad, it doesn’t make up. It is NOTHING like Silence of the Lambs or Seven. Not in the same league. Honestly can’t say anything good about it.

Good fun and some hilarious moments.

So slow, it almost travels backwards. Saved a little by the acting of Jodie Comer, but otherwise a yawn fest! These ‘arty’ sequenced productions (Belfast, Civil War) are slowly creeping in…….certainly at a pace faster than the film itself! Each to their own……Jodie was excellent……but it’s just damn boring.

Awful film. Boring, slow and gratuitously violent. Full of ‘artistic’ filler and little actual storyline. Yes, I get the supposed warnings and the (vague) link to today’s geopolitics. However, the subject matter could have been far more entertaining instead of trying to be a modern day Apocalypse Now. Really disappointing.
