THIS MOVIE HAS EVERY SINGLE TROPE YOU COULD IMAGINE - *Old washed up 80s guy is living in past. *Sister is her brothers guardian (mom died). *Jocks vs nerds. *15 year old girl boss. *Big strong man = coward - skinny petite teenage girl = badass ju-jitsu master. *They tried to have a bowser theme song moment with jack black and failed *There’s 3 “He’s right behind me.. isn’t he” moments in the film. *”Strong black women” who brings nothing to the plot - they put her in to avoid getting cancelled, I guarantee it. She serves no purpose in the film, at all, whatsoever. *Wait so you were only doing this for XY&Z … but I thought we were friends?? … 5mins later man who betrayed main character decided he doesn’t care about the money / fame anymore and now he cares about main character all of the sudden, so he throws everything away just to save him … *Cliché dance party ending (laziest way to end a movie)
