This book has both torn me apart and woke up many feelings I had thought I had forgotten about. A certain pain from my own experiences felt seen and recognized which in an odd way comforts me, not so often people are able to write about the real dirty things in life. The characters arent exactly likeable, but their flaws and issues create a sort of realness to them which I enjoyed more then any sort of cliché.
At the start I wish there couldve been a TW about some of the health issues Frances faced. I did feel somewhat faint and lightheaded because of it lol. The story itself is thought-provoking, commenting on relationships and how we deal in social situations. Powerful, original and captivating.
In my own life I had a man similar to Nick and for that reason I enjoyed his character the most. He acted and behaved so similarly to the man I knew, it was like looking at his thoughts through Nicks words. WELL ENJOYED!!! I do recommend
