Don't understand why a military man came to lead a police investigation. Are the police that hopeless?

I think the Chinese have forgotten everything about the 'Laws of Physics' and the 'Practice of Medicines'. Lots of scenes where all sorts of Physics' laws were broken, not to mention the recovery of Vanguard soldiers from bullet wounds with only about a day or so time and readily fit for mission. Complete nonsense!!! Such movies should be banned from release. The only reason I sat through the whole movie was because of one of my favourite actors i.e., Jackie Chan.
