What a fabulous novel! The period details of Bloomsbury Set sister sleuths Virginia Woolf and Vanessa Bell are perfect. I felt totally transported to twenties Sussex, and captivated by the twists and turns of Ciar Byrne’s very clever plot. Murder? Yes. But there’s no grim exploitation or gratuitous grisly gore here. There’s heaps of fun to be had, romping around Lewes on the trail of a killer with Ginny and Nessa. And it kept me guessing right to the end. Can’t wait for the next book in this superb new ‘cosy crime’ series.
