We still have a long way to go with race relations in this country, because we still refuse to talk about race relations in this country. Yet I still love this country. Will be nice, someday, when this country decides to love me back. An American Man. Not "Black". Not "African-American", Not "Afro-American", Not "Negro" (as is on my birth certificate).
