I loved the atmosphere and first few episodes, but Jana herself started to annoy me. She was too morose and rarely smiled. She also ignored authority and charged ahead based on intuition and her convenient past experiences— with no repercussions. I understand that most detectives do this in shows, but it seemed laughable. I found the whole “child soldier” concept incredibly outlandish and bizarre. I was left wondering why I devoted my time to this disappointing series.
