The Dark knight is one of my favorite crime movies. It felt very much like Michael Mann’s Heat. It gave me complex characters a sophisticated plot. The best villain since Darth Vader. I remember thinking the bar for comic book films has risen. (Then came Logan). I appreciate the Batman for trying to make the story completely different from what I watched in 2008. It gave me heavy Se7en vibes. I enjoyed it but not the same way I enjoyed TDK. But I’ll tell you what…I did like this more than BatMan Begins which is a good indication of where this series of films may be going…..
