David Hosp wrote an average novel with DARK HARBOR which has quite a lot of sub-plots, which was a distraction of the thesis of government corruption. However, he seems to have lost the thread of the story by finished into the fantasy cartoon of four heroes vs. the cunning and maligned villain. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would not have undertaken a rescue mission with only four actors through a labyrinth on unproven dark and forbidding passageways, when they had the resources of the entire police department and the FBI at their disposal. They could have simply walked in with an overwhelming and armed force and made the arrests. But that wouldn’t be as dramatic!
