While the story seems a bit odd, it is a mixture of all Mad Max realms. From the motorbike of Goose to Warboys and Gastown the attempted tying together of every movie is extremely evident. In some cases even too evident such as the child being a Mussolini echoing all the way back the The toe cutter and the night rider. There even appears to be a Blaster working the cranes from Thunderdome. There is so much it almost makes my head hurt to watch.
