Stick with Star Trek, the first and second seasons were great; however, I had problems with the third season, particularly the "Twice in a Lifetime" episode. This episode was where I couldn't continue watching. Based on previous seasons' episodes where the crew was saved by future interventions, defied Union rules and orders, and dealt with an entire species and more, the characters themselves are flawed. If you can bite your tongue and keep watching, go for it. I skimmed through the next four episodes in 8-10 minutes each just to see what happens, and honestly, it's just okay. If the series ever comes back for a fourth season and they write more about the past timeline and branches where Gordon's family wasn't erased, I'll tune back in. However, "Twice in a Lifetime" is where I draw the line.
