The crow 2024 is a reboot that did not need to happen, but I'm glad that it did, I think the reason this movie has a lot of bad reviews is because Shelly and Eric's relationship only feel Lustful, They have intimacy, but it's only sexual, Also, Eric is no longer a rockstar or a musician And the actual crow doesn't play a very big part in the movie in leading him to vengeance. Character also but only slightly throughout the film, The audience definitely doesn't feel his love for Shelly. Eric also just seems like a regular human who has healing powers. He doesn't have the enhanced strength or pain resistance that the original Eric had. Nonetheless, this movie is still good, It was made for modern Audience who have fallen in love with the ways of the older world and generations. Does this movie need a sequel no, Does this movie need an extended cut with more scenes developing Shelley and Eric's love for each other Yes, But this movie kind of Shows how actual mentally ill people and my generation Can fall in love with somebody we rely on that feeling that They give us to fall in love to form relationship. Words and actions in this generation forming feelings. This movie shouldn't have been a The Crow movie, But if it were any other movie, people probably would've liked it a lot better. I think if my generation gives this movie a chance and the older generation looks at this movie as its own standalone actual reimagining, they'll come to see that it's supposed to be different, It's supposed to be for the modern age, Eric, the last movie was a literal rockstar. Pretty sure he was in a whole band, He wasn't much of a mentally ill loner. This movie decides to make him much more with the times, and that's the good part people in this Generation feel alone and are constantly seeking love or Closure, We look for that constantly we don't let go of the past easy, That's why this movie is good Because Eric's character is the embodiment of basically every depressed person in my generation which is gen z, Plus, the action is cool. This movie is not bad. It's good, Not as good as the old one, But definitely good. Good enough that I hope it gets a sequel, Where we can see Eric develop into the snarky, condescending, man he was in the older crow, maybe in the sequel Eric and Shellie's love will truly be developed.
