As a fan of the series, I can see where they tried to go with it. The whole plot of the movie matched the theme of the show really well, it was just poorly executed on the writers part. It felt like the nail was set in the right spot, but they hit it sideways. Some parts felt beautifully written, while others felt… well. Escape? wack. Circus? wack. the whole build up to the end? wack. I will give credit to the writers where credit is due. I was immediately let down by the escape, but I was reeled right back in during his first interview. I felt something like that could happen in real life. It gave off such a strong Seven vibe, I couldn’t help but to be excited about what the criminal’s motives were. It was just a shame that his motives ended up being Hostel, not Seven. The last thing I will say is that the main cast did an amazing job, absolutely nothing bad to say about their performance. P.S. I miss Alice.
