Pretty decent game, though at level 3 it already feels grindy.

I recently decided to give War Thunder a try, lured in by the promises of intense combat, realistic vehicle mechanics, and exciting multiplayer battles. However, after spending some time with the game, I can confidently say that War Thunder is a massive letdown and falls short in several critical aspects. Here are the reasons why I would not recommend this game to anyone. First and foremost, the game's matchmaking system is an absolute disaster. It consistently fails to balance teams properly, resulting in incredibly lopsided battles that are neither fun nor fair. More often than not, I found myself being pitted against higher-level players or facing overpowered vehicles, making it almost impossible to enjoy any semblance of competitive gameplay. This lack of balance ruins the experience and drives away new players who are looking for a fair and enjoyable multiplayer environment. Another major issue with War Thunder is its progression system, which is mind-bogglingly grindy and painfully slow. Unlocking new vehicles and upgrades feels like an endless uphill battle, requiring an exorbitant amount of time and effort. The developers clearly prioritize squeezing money out of players through microtransactions rather than providing a satisfying and rewarding progression system. This pay-to-win mentality is incredibly off-putting and ruins any sense of achievement or accomplishment. Moreover, the game's community is plagued by toxic behavior and an overall lack of sportsmanship. The chat is filled with offensive language, insults, and derogatory comments that create a hostile environment for players seeking a friendly and enjoyable gaming experience. It's disheartening to see that the developers have done little to address this issue, making War Thunder an unwelcoming place for newcomers and ruining the potential for positive interactions within the community. Furthermore, despite the game's claim of realism, War Thunder often feels anything but realistic. Vehicle physics and damage models can be frustratingly inconsistent, leading to moments of utter disbelief and a sense of randomness. This lack of consistency detracts from any immersion the game attempts to create, leaving players feeling frustrated and disconnected from the overall experience. Lastly, the customer support for War Thunder is abysmal. Numerous reports of bugs, glitches, and technical issues have gone unanswered or received only generic and unhelpful responses. It is incredibly disheartening to encounter problems within the game and be left without any assistance or resolution from the developers. This lack of support further adds to the frustration and disappointment surrounding War Thunder. In conclusion, War Thunder fails to deliver on its promises of an engaging, realistic, and enjoyable multiplayer experience. The broken matchmaking system, excessive grind, toxic community, lack of realism, and poor customer support all contribute to an overall negative and unsatisfying gameplay experience. Save your time, money, and sanity by avoiding War Thunder and exploring other alternatives that offer a more fulfilling and enjoyable gaming experience.
