From the very first episode, the series hooks you with its tightly woven plot and atmospheric tension. Rather than simply retelling the story from the original novel or the 1973 film, this adaptation smartly updates the narrative for a modern audience.

Misconduct starts off with the makings of a compelling legal thriller — a young, ambitious lawyer (played by Josh Duhamel) takes on a powerful pharmaceutical executive (Anthony Hopkins) in what should be a high-stakes case. Add in Al Pacino as his boss, and it sounds like a formula for an intense, twist-filled ride.

Director Christopher McQuarrie once again proves he’s the right mind behind the camera. The pacing is tight, the set pieces are inventive, and there’s a real emotional core—anchored by Cruise’s commitment to stunt realism and layered performances from the supporting cast, especially Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, and Esai Morales, who brings gravity to a mysterious and dangerous villain.

It's not a good idea to watch this show with the children present. The themes are too mature, and the language can be quite offensive at times. Additionally, the graphic scenes might be disturbing for young viewers. It would be better to save this show for when you have some alone time or perhaps watch it with friends who understand the content. There are plenty of family-friendly options out there that everyone can enjoy together.
