Very violent but probably realistic. It certainly gives a vivid impression of what life must have been like in that time from several vantage points. We watched all six episodes in three nights and wish there was more. There was a lot of action and you certainly never got bored. Little was made of several relationships but they put some things together in the end. Extremely well made and from what I know, historically accurate. A wonderful show.
