I’m exhausted. This is a beautifully written novel but the brutality is beyond description. The violence is harrowing. The author leaves nothing to the reader’s imagination. So bloody as to defy description. I suppose some believe that this dystopian novel will change hearts and minds about our penal system. I don’t think so. I want people that are capable of such awful violence to be forever confined, or killed.
