So much promise but really disappointing. This film annoyed me in a way no film has for a long while. It had a great premise (statewide surveillance, technology vs human rights to privacy etc) but felt like it kept missing the mark. I felt like it kept leading us down interesting avenues (such as Mae's interaction with the enigmatic Ty) with zero follow up. In the end, the finale felt like a damp squib, The credits rolled and I was left thinking "Oh. Was that IT? ....Huh." This film could have been so much more and had the makings of something fascinating, but in the end, just fell flat.
