I've enjoyed the work of Julian Fellowes for many years, even his early years as an actor.
This series is lacking his wit, humor, and any decent actors. Set in America's Gilded Age - an era highlighted by the likes of Edith Wharton, even Scorsese - this feels like modern American entertainment with its pettiness and lack of any nuance.
Also, I was never much a fan of Christine Baranski but now she's has so much plastic surgery that her face can't compensate for her lack of skills as an actor.
Pass.
