Reading the other reviews, or, perhaps, skimming through them, you probably already can assume that this is a brilliant book. Or, maybe your friend had recommended this book for you, blithering on and on how good it is. Well, whoever said anything about this book being a masterpiece, they're right. Three moons, yes, this book is amazing. This book is about Darkstalker, who is a NightWing and IceWing hybrid who holds several powers; he is an animus dragon (a dragon who has control over inanimate objects), a mind-reader, and future-seer. He, as a young hatchling, has no idea of the power he holds, the terror in his future, or how the moons basically belonged to him. According to WoF Wiki and a few other websites, Darkstalker IS the most powerful dragon in the series and it is really fascinating to see from his point of view. But -- that's not all the characters! Two other dragons express their point of view: Clearsight, a NightWing, sweet and thoughtful, who can foresee all the different possible futures. . .and is Darkstalker's dearest love, and Fathom, who is nervous and cautious, an animus who is afraid to use his gift after the wrath of Albatross (Albatross is a fellow animus, the first animus in the SeaWing tribe. He trains Fathom, and, in Chapter Six in this book, he unleashes something awful -- no spoilers, here!) and Darkstalker's closest friend. Darkstalker foresees visions of him sitting on the throne, Clearsight beside him, smiling as their dragonets chase each other on the floor below. But, no matter how thinks how this is pleasant, Clearsight refuses for this to happen, as in her visions and paths, she sees death, gore, and blood as Darkstalker kills the current queen and becomes the first King in Pyrrhia himself. Darkstalker uses his magic in hope of getting this wish of his, and, after each and each spell, the future gets darker and darker. . . Animus magic comes with a price. Each spell cast takes away a small part of your soul, which can turn even the warmest-hearted dragon evil and murderous. Will Darkstalker use his magic carefully, or will he destroy all of Pyrrhia? Can Clearsight save the brightest futures? Can Fathom save his own love, Indigo, and use his magic carefully, stopping his friend Darkstalker? Find out in the book: Wings of Fire - Legends: Darkstalker. A TIP FROM WHERE TO GET THIS BOOK: Okay, so basically every library you will check will have this book on hold, at least for me. So, I highly recommend buying it for the best experience. On Amazon, it is very cheap, even for the hardcover. EXERPT: He did not understand yet that he could see the future. He had no idea what the flashes meant. He couldn't follow the paths that were unfolding in his brain; cause and effect and consequences were all still beyond him. But in his mother's mind he found the idea of hope, and in his father's he traced the outline of something called patience. He could wait. "Darkstalker," said Mother. "Hello, darling." She held out her talons and he climbed into them willingly, curious to be closer to that warmth. This is my mother. Those are my full moons. (He thought. No italics :C) This is my world now. Amazing. As mentioned in my other review for 'Prisoners, Wings of Fire Winglets Number One' this shows different points of view for other characters that haven't been quite clearly introduced or who haven't appeared in the series as much as some of the other dragons, which makes it really interesting. Wow, give this book some more reviews! As the first, I can see that many haven't read this book yet! Read it -- and then give it five stars, as usual ;3 I haven't read the whole thing, so more information will be posted later when I get a good summary on this book! Stay tuned for more! I love the way that we can see the other dragons point of view, and the way they think of the world. Some of these dragons, yes, weren't always mentioned in the books, or, we were dying to hear more about and have appeared in some of these stories, which is quite exciting. That is honestly what I find the most interesting is that nobody gave this a good, full review yet! Or that four people (if you count me) have written a review! If you have read the book, be one of the first to write down a review and give it the good five stars it deserves. Highly. Recommended. Like. All. Wings of Fire. Books. Moon Rising is a well-crafted, beautiful story -- and perhaps one of the most interesting book in the series. Moon Rising is about a dragonet named Moonwatcher, who attends the school in a mountain called Jade Mountain Academy. Moon is a mind-reader, and seeing her perspective on mind-reading is just so interesting! Moon Rising tells all the interesting thoughts that Moon hears; she hears thoughts from her friends, Qilbi, Winter, Kinkajou, etc. and learns much more about them than she ever would by speaking to them in her shy, quiet voice and nature. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED! Whoever decided to set down two stars on this book really needs to read the book again; this book deserves a straight five stars. Thank you so much for reading my review!
