Very funny, acidic film with a fabulous cast, clever script and some outrageous scenes. Exploring the costs of pursuing individual success over connectedness, its British humour appealed to this Australian audience. May be less resonant with some US audiences?

Terrible script, no chemistry between the lead actors, he's a 10, she's a 5, no way

Brilliant, hilarious and excoriating satire of the most-pressing issues facing humanity, with the doomsday comet a metaphor for climate change (denial) in times of mass apathy, uber consumerism, social divisiveness, civic decay, social media mind numb, and political psychopathy. This film flew under the radar of the Oscars and many reviewers because its unpalatable truths inconveniently damn us all.

Sure, Indy has grown older, as have we his audience since Raiders of the Lost Ark. More cgi, less physicality. Yet this film successfully weaves together key themes from the earlier films, to deliver one last rollicking adventure where Indy courageously and ingeniously defeats the forces of darkness, while battling his own inner demons,. In both endeavours, he succeeds only in partnership with the 2 women in his life, his god daughter (youth) and his love, Marion Ravenwood (experience). What really sets Dial of Destiny apart is that for the first time, Indy physically enters history, finally conquering the peak of his lifelong archeological obsessions. Indiana Jones can now rest in peace. Respect.
