Writing is lackluster, boring, and repetitive. They need to cut cgi budget and pay the writers more in hope something improves. These scenes feel like highschool acting and seem directed to be the bare minimum of what the scene is outlined to be. I wish the characters were dynamic and had something likeable about them that made you root for them/hate them/SOMETHING. I find myself wanting to watch this on 2x speed if I could just to get to the point or something interesting. Season 2 has been extremely hard to watch, which is disappointing considering the effort Im sure has been put into this. I have no clue how this has so many high reviews? Literally the only good piece of the script that made me feel close to GoT was Lord Bracken's take on Daemon. Everyone else speaks so plainly and there are no subliminal messages other than Heleana's predictions. This is painful PS - I loved GoT, I even didn't mind season 8, it wasn't the best writing but I at least understood how the plot could move in the direction they chose... HoTD feels like a very well produced, but poorly written dull, dragged out mess
