Always liked Nic Cage, been watching his work since his Valley Girl days. He makes a good action flick but I've seen his older vamp movies & questioned whether or not he'd make a good Count Dracula. As with any good vamp movie they gave us a couple of good scares & just enough campiness for a few laughs, add some awesome special effects & boom we have an enjoyable film. Nic Cage & Nicholas Hoult were both amazing. They absolutely nailed the parts & I hope they make a 2nd.

Hope they have a 2nd season. Almost didn't watch it, not even sure why, but glad I gave it a chance, very humorous.

Starting off with 4 stars because I've only watched 1 episode so far, it grabs your attention. Julian Moore could win an award for her acting in this series it's some of her best work. Love that they've used The Palace of Versailles it's stunning. Can't see why anyone would rate this with one star , we haven't seen enough to judge the series as of yet.

Maybe a small spoiler. A bit cheaply made but the story line & Bobby especially played by John Behlmann kept the movie pulled together. Oddly the remaining actors had scenes that were well done & some not so believable in others, maybe new to the acting world but they pulled it off keeping you on edge as you root for the victims & want to push the bad guys overboard. When actors can make you feel that way they've done their job. For those that enjoyed this movie I'd recommend the movie Harpoon.

Well acted really good movie. Shows us what their lives were like, at least part of their lives. I can only imagine what they left out. 😎 Wondering why my comment took 5xs to post& my check mark isn't staying highlighted but I'm able to review other movies. Guess our freedom of speech doesn't count any more.

Based on a true story that'll pull at your heart strings one minute have you laughing the next & rooting for a man & his family to make it through some of the worst days of the great depression. Some may have chosen to pass on this due to the sport of boxing but this movie's about so much more than that. Absolutely loved it,highly recommend.

Amazing job by everyone. I watched it again today & after all these years it literally had me crying & shaking my head at how people can treat one another so horrificly. Even to this day. Can't wait to see what they do with the 2nd movie. I'm sure it'll be a lot different but I expect it'll still be good as it will have a lot of the same people working on it.

Re-watching in 2021 & realizing the physical aspects of what it took to portray Mr. Chapman. Props to Robert that couldn't have been easy. Wonderful movie, full of talented actors.

Well written, most likely taken from real happenings, great acting (in my opinion it's some of Jeff's best work) can't wait to see more. It's a bit sad & sometimes even dark at times but has some funny lines thrown in too ❤ . On a separate note has anyone noticed how much Joanne Tucker & Taylor Schilling look a like, they could replace each other easily if one or the other needed a stand in..

Enjoyed the movie & hope they continue making a couple more with the same actors, they did an awesome job. It was left in such a way they can easily carry on. Was impressed with Michael's acting , he even had the mannerisms down. Great casting.
