It's very refreshing that Marvel Studios finally gave us something different from the usual MCU movie archetype. You know? The one that's overdependent on quips, lightheartedness, cliche action sequences, and skybeams. Out of the 3 Phase 4 movies so far, I find Eternals the best one. Way better than both Shang-Chi, and Black Widow. I appreciate the worldbuilding, exposition, and general pace of the plot. It did feel like a very heavy movie, but it was worth every minute of screen time. I never felt bored because there was no dead air. I kinda feel the movie would have benefitted with more screen time. While most of the Eternals characters were fleshed out, I wanted to know more about their past adventures. Flashbacks made me come back for more.
If there's gonna be a part 2 or crossover into other MCU films like Guardians Vol. 3, I'll definitely watch those. This is a must-watch for MCU fans and comic book fans alike. Even though it wasn't 100% faithful to the comics lore, Chloe Zhao really brought life into this version of the Eternals. Humanizing them this way, makes them feel relatable.
