It’s great to see a nice guy for a change. He puts up with a lot, maybe too much. It’s still good to see goodness in the flesh.

No moral redemption here. It’s 100% retribution. Sets are very good. Real sites the best if your particular about slum environments. Dialogue supports the evil intentions which abound. Very violent. Human life means nothing. I liked the Crow and the cop.

Tightly edited, superb acting and an improbable but compelling story. The move black on white was the only setting without the distraction of color film.

Greed , blood lust, fear and exploitation dominate this film and take on a life of their own. The film is truly a tragedy and it’s partner is death. However it is cloaked in innocence and repentance. These factors are the redeeming qualities finalizing this tragic story.

Deep, deep, deep. Not the usual format. Incredible photography which poses questions about life, life experiences in parallel with deep space phenomena, violence and beauty combined. Simple human experiences from childhood to more complex experiences with age and a wondering about the effect of loss and value of material progress as labeled success. It is truly an out of body experience that strives to depict the end of our journey. Patience is required of the viewer and second or more viewings recommended. There is just too much to process on the first go around.

Twists, Turns and blind alleys while the most violent and unlikely person and cop unravels the twisted drama. Terrific editing makes this story come alive, never a dull moment even if many of the moments exude misdirected violence. Every human weakness is exploited.

The woman that came with Edward G Robinson was addicted to alcohol and forced to sing as she did as a younger performer by Robinson. She tried as best she could but obviously wasn’t up to it which earned her a strong berating by Robinson. She was crushed and this elicited Strong feelings of compassion from a viewer.

I think that this movie was a metaphor for life’s successful journey . Life’s conventional promises, it’s turning point to unexplainable difficulties brought about by circumstances beyond one’s control and then dragging through existence invisible to the world confronting challenges with the will to live and finally overcoming fear is the stories process. This loss of fear opens a new vista of the world. Life in its conventional state is transcended and mergers with the universe, a state of Nirvana, life’s true goal realized.
