This movie was unwatchable. I knew there was a problem as soon as they got to the office scene after a character was killed towards the beginning. The acting was really bad. You couldn’t tell if they were trying to be dramatic or funny. Every few lines Ed Norton’s character had to demonstrate his Tourette’s Syndrome and it was so over the top I wondered if he was making fun of the illness. The audience would laugh every time. The dialogue was cliche and it reminded me of the kind of cheap television programs they run at two AM to fill time. There were a lot of older people in the audience and they seemed to be enjoying themselves and chuckling during the film, and it did have the feel of something made in the 70’s era. But film has changed and audiences expect dialogue that is gritty, realistic, without seeming like you are watching a cheap play. Save your money and wait for it to be aired at 2 AM on your local TB station.
