There were very interesting topics and somewhat helpful information during a lecture I recently attended, but I wonder why Dr. Gunter supports so much big Pharma and claims that alternative medicine and natural approaches for natural healing are a "scam". She is very engaging and it was very entertaining listening to her speak, but she was not able to explain why alternative medicine and natural products that don't come from big Pharma are a scam. She claims big Pharma has "some" data but not "all" the data she and suggests that instead of people giving or putting money into these so called alternative "scam" researches and alternative medicine, people should give it to big pharma. I fell that the the purpose of the lecture was more about attacking alternative options for natural cures and promoting Pharma than focus on her book. I am not oppose to conventional medicine but her claim that there is no data backing up multiple alternative treatments and alternative medicine is just flat wrong. There is plenty of medical and scientific data from experts supporting many of the subjects she opposes. It is irresponsible to misguide people when she is not an expert on many of these subjects.
