Movie is outdated.
2 hr movie is pretty much the elaboration of characters on a big flat poster with no depth.
Characters don’t go deep.
There’s no proper ending or beginning.
Unique still camera treatment that’s consistent through each scene. Makes it more of a school project. Nothing new to watch in terms of storytelling. It’s about confused cis man, strong trans f, patriarchy, suppressed women, bad joint family culture.
If the movie is just going through the life at present of the characters at the moment then why show flashback of Haider and Mumtaz.
So basically you are showing that a family gets disrupted and disturbed by introducing a trans character in their life. Doesn't add up to the ending.
It should have been called Sad Land.
Doesn’t bring any joy or smile.
