It never ceases to amaze me how producers and big entertainment corporations can take something that is tried and true, immensely successful, and well beloved, and completely trash it, change the source material, and pigeon hole it into what is socially relevant or “edgy” at the time. This series has great special effects and is based on a great story, so it gets 2 stars, but those in charge of making it have more of a love for money than the actual books, so unfortunately, it’s bound to fail.
