This movie felt very pretentious. It had a wannabe Wes Anderson vibe to it and it felt like the director was trying to make it as indie as possible. It was so painful to watch. Also, as others have mentioned, there is zero character development and all the scenes are anti-climactic. It’s essentially a compilation of the mom being on her worst behavior and dragging her kid along. Lastly, the ending was ridiculous. A shaky iPhone recording of the girls running to Disneyworld. What the heck was that scene’s purpose? Strangest film I’ve seen in a while. Don’t waste your time.
