I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this movie, being a lifetime Barbie fan. It was SPECTACULAR. Weird, fun, funny, with an amazing soundtrack. Ryan Gosling stole the show, though cameos by Kate McKinnon, John Cena and Michael Cera were laugh out loud funny. This is not a “feminist” movie per se. Though it does celebrate women and their strengths, it also has a great message for men about how it’s not your clothes, house or partner that make you who you are. Go see it. It’s a breath of fresh air during these dark times.
