It’s a good movie, deffo nice to kick back and enjoy. I don’t think you need to have read the books to enjoy it, I haven’t, especially if you know how vampires work. Just wish someone would make the next one bc I want to know what happens next! If book adapted films like after (which was yuck) can make it, then I don’t get why this one didn’t!

For a kid who was born in the early 2000's, this movie was truly beautiful, gave me hard nostalgia and I'm not even old🥲😂. I loved the movie and the themes explored because it's not been explicitly mentioned in a kids movie before and I think it's needed, so girls can feel less scared and ashamed about going through puberty. Beautiful story of friendships, immigrant family life, mother daughter relationships and becoming a teen. I think it's a movie everyone could enjoy. Obviously it is a PG movie and not U, so all these people that have been complaining that it is "inappropriate" need to relax because it's not. 8+ is a good age to watch this as it will make more sense for them but other kids it will go over their heads.

I absolutely loved this series from start to finish. I am a huge MCU fan, and I love the direction of this series. Not being from the south Asian culture, I related so well to Bruno because that's what I'm like with my friends. I love that there is this representation for the south Asian community, despite the controversy with the djinn story line, it's just beautiful. Kamala's story is amazing because there's not been a coming of age superhero story like this yet within the MCU. You can see her grow and learn, about herself, her background, her powers, her friendships. Loved it.
