Anne of Green Gables is truly an amazing book. It made me laugh and cry along with Anne. I liked Anne's differing dynamics with Matthew and Marissa. I also liked how by the time she graduated with a scholarship we can really see how proud they are of Anne and how much they love her. Anne and Diana as friends were great. And haven't we all encountered Josie Pyes in our lives! Anne and Gilbert are really so interesting!! I got envious of Anne and her imagination at times. She couldn't get bored even if she tried to. Her name is Anne Shirley, but really she is Anne of Green Gables, the Anne who won over Matthew and Marissa Cuthbert and eventually a lot of the inhabitants of Avonlea. P.S. I also kinda wish that Avonlea was an actual place and that I lived there. I can't wait to visit Prince Edward Island somtime when I grow up.

Absolutely love the book!!!! Even in It Happened One Summer I was really drawn in my Hannah as a character and her and fox's interactions. I really liked how the story explores the emotional toll on a person when they have been sexualized for so long and from such a young age. I liked how Hannah stood by Fox, helping him to move past the image plastered to him and become the person he truly was deep inside. I adore the love and respect they have for one another. Especially Fox's love for Hannah. I have to say I liked this book even better than IHOS.

I didn't read the whole book. I usually like this type of story but something about the plot up to where I read just turned me off. Many may find the book interesting but the fact that at first Alex was married and a couple years later Charlie was engaged when they were together is just off putting. No matter what there is no excuse for infidelity. I'm an avid book reader and I usually can't rest until I finish a story. But I didn't even want to continue the story and I'm not even slightly curious about how it ends.
