Oh, am I disappointed. :/
A pathetic, shameless cash grab that is not indicative of the Call of Duty campaigns that we know and love. These new, “open world” campaign-esque missions… killstreaks, armour plates, a minimap and abysmal AI that feels like you’re playing a 2005 game, this just does not radiate the same amazement, awe and intrigue that Modern Warfare (2019) and Modern Warfare II (2022) set up. This is meant to be the final chapter of the revisited Modern Warfare trilogy and it is just so demeaning that the game developers even released this absolute embarrassment. It’s insulting to any and every COD player, whether you’re a casual gamer, or a streamer, or anywhere in between - this just feels like DLC for MW2 (2022). All in all, a resounding 3/10 from me. Gunplay is okay, movement is okay, story seems rushed and hap-hazard in its construction. The game just feels like a way to reuse assets from previous titles so Activision/Infinity Ward can release a new title and make money this year. Because let’s face it, we’re still going to buy it. And we’re still going to play it. We’re just going to be very angry about it until a new - hopefully better - title releases again next year. God, have some bloody pride and just don’t f*** up for one year. Just ONE. YEAR!
