I don't understand how this show got raving reviews. I was so mad at the writing. Horrible dialogues, the "scientific" background is laughable, pretty inconsistent theories. Ian, honey, I don't know if it's the script or you but you had as much emotion as a block of wood in this show. Had to stop at 3 episodes because I couldn't take more.
I'd rather rewatch Dracula than sit through another episode of this series. If you want to make it campy, then make it campy. Don't make it kinda campy but also kinda serious because it doesn't work. Also, can you please make up your mind if Luther's a genius science guy who specializes in prehistoric whatnots or if he's a brain surgeon (someone mentioned this). And can you tell your vampires to stop selective-infecting because it's really discriminating.
It feels like you have different writers for each scene and you just have one guy edit all the scenes to make it into an episode but it's so incoherent, it makes my head hurt.
We've seen enough vampire movies and series. Focus on storytelling. Make us care for the characters. You can't just throw in the science thing and then not back it up with facts.
Please, for the love of god, hire better writers.
