I wanted to love the book, I assumed I would. I gave up halfway through after coming to terms with the fact that I was bored and exhausted with the writing and repetitive plot lines. I really wanted the book to pick up but it just never did. I rarely give up on books but I also don't like reading things that I don't enjoy. The writing isn't as tight and inspired as I expected, and the characters and plot are surprisingly shallow. I love that others love it and am overjoyed for the author's success, truly. It's just not for me and it helped learning that others felt this way, so I wanted to add my voice to the reviews in case it helps someone else.
