This cinematic presentation offered a grandeur that the stage could not provide. The subtle body movements of the “cats”, and the exceptional dancing were beautifully presented. You just cannot see that when you are in an audience looking at a stage performance. It was very well done. It appears that most people don’t understand that this was a theatrical and musical presentation of T.S. Elliott’s book of poems about cats. The emotional depth and beauty of a Jennifer Hudson’s interpretation of “Memories” was magnificent and brought tears to the eyes!
