I think some of these reviews are so unfair. The show first of all is different than anything else out there right now. That alone is reason enough to start watching it. I loved all of the storylines. The only one I found a little predictable was the gay couple storyline. I loved how all the characters in Anne's choosing from the lovely Foster to Lisa etc. Everyone served her a purpose. They were all the right chess players in this intriguing and suspenseful game that Anne started. It all makes sense even more by episode 8 and I said WOW. Great writing!! Renee Zellweger was brilliant in this and Dave Annable played a great villain too. I binge-watched it all in 2 days this weekend and I can honestly go for a second season with Anne reinventing herself and giving herself a new name, life and career once again. I also want to see how the main couple and Lisa's company will be doing. Honestly, give this series a chance. There is nothing like it on TV or cable right now!!
