I had, what I believe to be an advantage, of watching Thank You For Your Service the day after Trump's State
of the Union Addresss. So, why is that an advantage? So many of our fighting men and women return from war significantly traumatized . Some suffer physical injuries and face a life at home-crippled. Many soldiers not only try to deal with their new, damaged bodies, but also attempt to deal with a severely damaged psyche. After the returning soldiers arrived home, they and their families realized that significant psychological help is needed. However, they had to apply for help. Treatment for a significantly damaged emotional self. Although Trump stated his thanks for our men and women who fight for Our country, the critical help these soldiers must have is either non-existent or just not nearly good enough. Our returning soldiers should have excellent and free medical care, inpatient longterm care for our more traumatized soldiers, and how about helping them find employment once home. This film made me angry at how our president does not treat them with the utmost respect they and their families deserve.
