Hubert Wilkins was a quiet achiever of the highest degree. He is my most admired Australian. Simon Nasht describes him as aggressively humble. He was motivated to try to understand global weather patterns and hence be able to predict and understand why droughts were so much a part of the Australian landscape - this was in the early 1900's. Simon Nasht does a great man justice - the book is well written and highlights what can be achieved by someone who has great faith and a worthwhile purpose in life. An excellent book. I will read it again for sure.
