Humorous, nostalgic, choc-a-bloc full of tropes, and with a surprisingly detailed storyline given the major source material being only the original Sonic game. The lacklustre CGI was more than made up for in all other areas of the movie, with some extra room for error through the fact that they had to redo most of the animation for Sonic. The allusion to a possible sequel involving Tails and maybe even more characters like Knuckles excites me, and I'm sure it excites other fans too.
