The first couple of episodes were iffy but I feel like after that, the characters started getting more chemistry and were able to build their own storyline . Even though I felt like the storylines were mostly the same as basically every teenage show. But with the added nostalgia factor . There’s a lot of funny parts and the nostalgia makes it worthy of watching. Wasn’t a fan of Ozzys character at first just because it felt like it was a total stereotypical one, but he cracks me up sometimes and I think his character has potential. Jay Kelso kinda seems like he goes back in forth from trying to be a mix between original Kelso and Joey from friends. But he seems the most 90ish out of the crowd as far as being believable. The clothing and slang was really accurate compared to other 90s portrayal shows. Music choices were great too!
I was mad when I first heard that this was going to be a complete reboot instead of its own show with brand new characters, but I’m glad they did it this way. It was nice to see the cameos from the original cast and love watching Red and Kitty again. I don’t think the show could ever be so successful without Red’s character . The first one and this one. I loved the last episode and the way that it ended and I’m hoping that they have a season two. Being a 90s kid born in 81 this was my time and I was almost exactly the same age as the group in 95 as these kids’ characters, so that was pretty cool. Nostalgia alone makes me want to see more. If you grew up in the 90s and like “that 70s show “ even a little, you will like this too. Pleasantly surprised and pleased with Season 1 and looking forward to season 2 if there is one!
