Powerful performances but still felt like a movie made to a formula. You could feel the influence of Shawshank and other better movies. Could have been magical but to see the character feel remorse for drawing the rangers to the jungle and living with the guilt of the deaths of the colony and then watch him escape prison to repeat the same mistake seemed pretty silly.

depressing, made space exploration seem like a futile exercise. For me, no emotional connection to the story or the characters. Not even the score could dial up some emotion. Wrong casting, TLJ and LT are just so well remembered for their other roles in space movies that I just wouldn't have went there. It was just all wrong for me. Disappointed.
