Aside from the fact that the book is formulaic and simply recycles the tactics used in previous books, I am disappointed that Silva has allowed his politics to taint the story. His wife has been a CNN reporter, so his allegiance is not surprising. I have been a fervent fan of the Allon series, but no more. I have been dismissed, along with anyone who voted for Trump. The author cares not for our opinions and clearly does not expect to be hurt financially by the loss of all his conservative fan base. Perhaps Hunter Biden can make up for his losses.
