Not likely to be a book that guys are going to want to read but most any gal probably has had a friendship like this one and thought that they had a dear friend and that dear friend turned out not to be a friend. We have all experienced that pain and she describes it so well. None of it is surprising however given what we know about this family now. I had to wonder how much of Melania's coldness, indifference, secretativeness, using her friend for favors and tolerance of donald was at least partly due to growing up in a communist country? Reading it is almost heartbreaking for all that she gave up in her own life to help this friend of hers. And the deliberate sabotaging by Ivanka and Jared and other staff members in the West Wing is truly horrifying but again not shocking. However I believe that Ms. Wolcoff's reputation cannot possibly be ruined by this. Just like Colonel Vindman and other colleagues at the state department that have been damaged or fired by the trump administration, it only makes them look better and more appealing because they are on the right side of history.
