Some of the cringiest sex scenes I've ever read. Boring universe and world-building, lazy at best. The writing is like wet napkin paper from a kid's birthday party, its unsalvageable. God, the characters were so dull it was a struggle dragging my eyes to the end of the book. Xaden has about as much identity as a mannequin, and Violet is the most god awful protagonist, bland and distasteful. Forget bad writing, the author straight up didn't even write her characters. The storyline is so unbearably boring it felt like a bad trailer you can't wait to be done with so you can watch your movie. Anyone saying the plot is addicting, or the writing is amazing, or any positivity, that's fair. If you want bland crap to shove in your mouth, this is one of many good fodder. The author has about as much writing skill as a middle schooler, and any reader beyond kid to young-adult has no business wasting time on this. I would be all over this book when I was 12, I'm sure all the positive comments are from the same.
