The Tolkien Fictional Universe (TFU), as I call it, is vast and unexplored. We have often wondered how the Arda came into existence, when did the Noldor come to live in the Middle-Earth, how the elves came to know about the Men and Dwarves. The classic works of Tolkien have answer to all these enquiries. We as fans would definitely enjoy a cinematic version of these events. The show is good as it introduces numerous new characters and places but the events are not par with the classic works of Tolkien (it is way too fictional). A major drawback is too much emphasis on one particular antagonist Sauron while other significant Balrogs are neglected. The arrival of Galadriel and her brother Finrod to Middle-Earth was a part of the Exile of the Noldor. This is an important event which did shape the history of the Middle-Earth in the First Age. The conflict between the Valar and Noldor leading to the exile of the later from Valinor could have been a major turnaround for the show.
To the directors and producers: Improvisation is good but sometimes you need to abide by the original version. Particularly when it is about the works of Tolkien that has a strong fanbase.
